This is the single most-tested difference in NEET. Quick check: if you count 2, 3 or 4 xylem patches it is a dicot root; if you count many (6 or more) it is a monocot root.

Which root has a larger pith, dicot or monocot?

The real differences are the number of xylem bundles (few vs many) and the pith size (small vs large). Do not pick exarch or radial as a difference in an exam.
