NEET 2027 Counselling Date — MCC Schedule & Process

NEET 2027 counselling is expected to begin in July 2027 after the result is declared. MCC (Medical Counselling Committee) conducts All India Quota (AIQ) counselling at the central level; states conduct their own state-quota counselling in parallel. AIQ vs State Quota

Two parallel counselling tracks. You need to know both because most successful candidates participate in both.

All India Quota (AIQ)

· 15% of seats in govt medical colleges across India
· Conducted by MCC (mcc.nic.in)
· Includes AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU, deemed universities, ESIC, AFMS
· Open to candidates from all states
· Round 1, Round 2, Mop-Up, Stray Vacancy

State Quota

· 85% of seats in respective state govt colleges
· Conducted by each state's authority (DME / KEA / etc.)
· Includes state-private colleges in many states
· Domicile/eligibility rules vary by state
· Typically 2–3 counselling rounds + mop-up
