What is the single test to say a reaction is NOT redox?

Is a double-displacement reaction always non-redox?
Most are non-redox. In a double displacement like BaCl2 + Na2SO4 -> BaSO4 + 2NaCl, ions just swap partners: Ba stays +2, Cl stays -1, Na stays +1, S stays +6, O stays -2. No oxidation number changes, so it is not redox. But do not memorise 'double displacement = non-redox' blindly; still check the numbers, because a few swap-type reactions can involve a change.
Is acid-base neutralisation a redox reaction?
No. In HCl + NaOH -> NaCl + H2O, H stays +1, Cl stays -1, Na stays +1, O stays -2. Nothing gains or loses electrons, so neutralisation is not redox. It is just a transfer of H+ and OH-.
A reaction gave two products and looked like a swap. Does that make it redox?
No. The number of products does not decide redox. Only oxidation-number change decides it. Precipitation, neutralisation, and salt formation can all give new products with zero redox change.
Why is CaF2 + H2SO4 -> CaSO4 + 2HF not redox even though it looks like a reaction of an acid?
Check the numbers: Ca is +2, F is -1, S is +6, O is -2 on both sides. Nothing changes, so H2SO4 here acts only as an acid, not as an oxidising agent. This is a NEET 2016 trap where students expect H2SO4 to always oxidise.
