No. Force (F) is the total push in newtons. Pressure (P) is that push spread over an area, P = F/A, in N/m squared. The same 10 N force gives a large pressure on a tiny area and a small pressure on a big area. So pressure tells you how concentrated the force is, not how big it is.
For a fluid at rest, F is only the component of force that acts perpendicular (normal) to the surface. A fluid at rest cannot push sideways along a surface, so we always take the normal force. If a force is at an angle, first take its perpendicular part, then divide by area.
Pressure has magnitude but no single direction. In a fluid at rest, the pressure at a point is the same in every direction. When we compute P = F/A we use the normal component of force, so we do not attach a direction to P itself. That is why NCERT states pressure is a scalar quantity.
